Crash survivor to embark on record-setting ride
A. Santana Dass, who is a person with disabilities (OKU), will attempt to travel a minimum distance of 1,600km from Penang to Penang for 24 hours by himself with his left hand on a modified Yamaha R25 on 25th April to 26th April.
Santana lost his right arm three years ago in a motorbike-lorry collision in Macalister Road.
“Disabilities will never stop me from trying anything that is new. Stigma and an incorrect perception that people with disabilities do not want to, or cannot participate in sporting activities, is one of the biggest barriers that I would like to overcome,” he said.
