The Longest Warehouse and The Biggest Single Storey Warehouse in Malaysia.

Saturday, 18 Aug 2018, the Malaysia Book of Records (MBR) gave recognition to the 12 Waves, which is 648m long and has a built-up area of 645,640.82sq ft.

MBR chief operating officer Christopher Wong presented the award to PKT Group chairman Datuk Jalilah Baba.

Present to witness the ceremony were Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow, PKT chief executive and managing director Datuk Michael Tio and Mitsui O.S.K. Lines Ltd executive officer Yutaka Hinooka.Built at a cost of RM120mil, the 650,000-sq-ft warehouse is equipped with state-of-the-art features such as solar panels, natural lighting and ventilation as well as advanced security and surveillance system.The 12 Waves also contains a truckers’ lounge, service area with a food court, convenience store, shower facilities and Japanese garden.The 12 Waves is PKT’s 4th generation warehouse after its iconic The Ship, The Waves and The Lighthouse warehouses in Shah Alam.The 12 Waves, located on a 70-acre site in Batu Kawan, serves as a central component of the group’s integrated auto-hub development in the northern region.The auto-hub will also contain components such as The Ship Campus, The Automotive Boulevard, The Lighthouse Lodge and The Andaman Wharf.
