The National Occupational Safety and Health Policy (DKKPN) was signed by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, YAB Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad on 15 January 2019. This policy was launched by YAB Dato’ Seri Dr. Wan Azizah Dr. Wan Ismail, Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia on 27 February 2019 at the national level.
This policy is the Government's initiative and commitment with employers and workers to improve the level of occupational safety and health through sustainable risk management at the workplace in protecting employers and workers in Malaysia as well as to enhance the country's productivity and competitiveness.
In this regard, the National Council for Occupational Safety and Health (MNKKP) has launched a Campaign and successfully obtained a place in the Malaysia Book of Records for the “Most Number of Signatures Collected in a Campaign”.
The signature campaign is held simultaneously nationwide from 1 April 2019 to 20 April 2019. A total of 115, 951 signatures have been obtained during the 20 days.
