LONGEST NON-STOP TAXIDERMY WORKSHOP 

On July 28, 2019, Sarawak Museum Department’s successfully set a new record in Malaysia Book of Records for the ‘Longest Non-Stop Taxidermy Workshop’. 

Taxidermy is a process of cleaning, preserving and stuffing the interior of a dead specimen with chemicals, specific ingredients using specified equipment.

The workshop was organised in conjunction with International Museum Day 2019, spanning over 24 hours - starting at 10 am, on July 27, until July 28, 2019, at the Natural History Museum, Jalan Tun Abang Haji Openg.


BENGKEL TAKSIDERMI PALING LAMA TANPA HENTI 

Pada 28 Julai 2019, Jabatan Muzium Sarawak telah berjaya mencipta rekod baru di Malaysia Book of Records untuk ‘Bengkel Taksidermi Paling Lama Tanpa Henti’. 

Taksidermi adalah proses pembersihan, pemeliharaan dan pemadatan dalaman spesimen yang mati dengan bahan kimia, ramuan khusus menggunakan peralatan tertentu.

Bengkel ini dianjurkan sempena Hari Muzium Antarabangsa 2019, yang meliputi lebih kurang 24 jam - bermula jam 10 pagi, pada 27 Julai hingga 28 Julai 2019, di Muzium Sejarah Alam, Jalan Tun Abang Haji Openg.
