LONGEST TOWING DISTANCE FOR ‘HIGH-DENSITY POLYETHYLENE’ PLASTIC PIPES BY SEA 

Sinohydro Corporation (M) Sdn Bhd has once again marked their name in the Malaysia Book of Records for the ‘Longest Towing Distance For ‘High-Density Polyethylene’ Plastic Pipes By Sea’. 

Since the manufacturing of LLLD solid wall high-density polyethene (HDPE) intake pipes were from Norway, they have to deliver and tow it by tugboat to Bintulu. The delivery process was done in 6 pipelines each with 555 metres long, directly from the extrusion plant in Shathelle, Norway. The towing delivery method covers 25,000 kilometres of the voyage.

Sinohydro Corporation (M) Sdn Bhd sekali lagi menandakan nama mereka di Malaysia Book of Records untuk ‘Perjalanan Paling Jauh Untuk ‘High-Density Polyethylene’ Plastic Pipes Melalui Jalan Laut’.

Memandangkan pembuatan paip pengambilan ketumpatan tinggi polyethene LLLD adalah dari Norway, mereka perlu menghantar dan membawanya dengan bot ke Bintulu. Proses penyampaian dilakukan di 6 saluran paip masing-masing dengan panjang 555 meter, terus dari kilang penyemperitan di Shathelle, Norway. Kaedah penghantaran menunda meliputi 25,000 kilometer dari pelayaran.
