LONGEST DISTANCE ‘UPSTREAM’ KAYAKING BY AN INDIVIDUAL

On May 6, 2019, the country's solo kayak rider, Murad bin Mohd Kassim, 49, received recognition from the Malaysia Book of Record for the ‘Longest Distance ‘Upstream’ Kayaking By An Individual’, after having seized for a total of 350.92 kilometres.

 

Murad started his kayaking expedition since April 21, 2019, from Beting Rice Field at Datuk Bagan and ended up on May 3, 2019, at Banding Lake. It is learned that during his expedition, he crossed 17 historic bridges, 3 lakes and 4 dams in Perak.

 

JARAK BERKAYAK PALING JAUH MENONGKAH ARUS OLEH INDIVIDU

Pada 6 Mei 2019, pendayung kayak solo negara, Murad bin Mohd Kassim, 49, menerima pengiktirafan daripada Malaysia Book of Records untuk ‘Jarak Berkayak Paling Jauh Menongkah Arus Oleh Individu’, setelah berkayak menongkah arus sejauh 350.92 kilometer.

 

Murad memulakan ekspedisi kayaknya sejak 21 April 2019, dari Beting Beras Basah ke Datuk Bagan dan berakhir pada 3 Mei 2019, di Tasik Banding. Difahamkan juga semasa ekspedisi, beliau menyeberangi 17 jembatan bersejarah, 3 tasik dan 4 empangan di Perak.
