Winter Solstice or known as is one of the traditional Chinese festivals in Malaysia. On December 7, 2018, after rolling 152,542 , 200 students of Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) helped put the campus in the Malaysia Book of Records for the most number of rolled. The group spent a total of four hours to secure their entry at the Winter Solstice Carnival 2018, at their campus in Sintok, Kedah. With little to eat in China’s ancient agrarian societies during the snowy weather, desserts became their sole feast. Through this event, they aimed to spread Chinese culture to other races so that they know about this festival and the meaning of and why it is rolled during this festival. 

BILANGAN 'TANGYUAN' PALING BANYAK DALAM SATU ACARA
Winter Solstice atau dikenali sebagai Festival Dongzhi merupakan salah satu perayaan tradisional Cina di Malaysia. Pada 7 Disember 2018, setelah 152,542 tangyuan digulungkan, seramai 200 orang pelajar Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) bekerjasama untuk meletakkan nama kampus dalam Malaysia Book of Records bagi Bilangan 'Tangyuan' Paling Banyak dalam Satu Acara. Pelajar tersebut menghabiskan masa selama empat jam untuk mendapatkan pengiktirafan di Karnival Musim Sejuk Solstis 2018, Sintok, Kedah. Makanan masyarakat agraris purba China ketika musim salji iaitu, pencuci mulut tangyuan menjadi satu-satunya makanan bagi perayaan mereka. Melalui acara ini, budaya perayaan dan makanan masyarakat Cina dapat disebarkan kepada kaum lain serta dapat memberi penjelasan mengapa tangyuan dipilih ketika perayaan tersebut.
