First Community Fire Brigade

The Subang Jaya Community Fire Brigade,  launched by Selangor state’s deputy director, Mohd Puzi Mohd Tabot on Selangor’s Hari Bomba on May 5, 2012 at the Mydin USJ1, Petaling Jaya, Selangor is the first of its kind and opened to residents above the age of 18 years old. The community fire brigade is also supported by the Subang Jaya Municipal Council’s Emergency Response Team, St. John’s Ambulance and members of the IPD Subang Jaya police.  The inintiative has been taken to create awareness among residents in Subang Jaya on fire prevention and assist the department in community outreach programmes such as the adoption and care of fire hydrants, the use of fire extinguishers as well as assisting the fire department in emergencies.
