First Team To Win Silver Medal In ILS World Lifesaving Championships



The fastest, strongest and fittest lifesavers gathered in Montpellier, La Grande Motte in France for the Rescue 2014 world championship from 13 to 26 September 2014. Over 3,000 competitors from 46 countries, were vying to be the world champion, as they competed in the test of lifesaving skills.



Meanwhile, The Life Saving Society of Malaysia sent two teams, consisting of one mens team and one womens team to compete in two categories _ the pool and the ocean/beach. As for the Line Throw category, Geh Cheow Chien (rescuer) and Wong Jun Jie (victim), made Malaysia proud by winning the silver medal, with a time of 10.34 seconds, behind the Australian team with a time of 10.28 seconds.
